What Types of Deals Should I Refer to Remington?

The only type of financing that we wouldn’t at least want to take a look at is consumer financing for things such as vehicles or owner occupied residences. Because of the many different types of lenders and investors we have relationships with, we may be able to help with a deal that seems a little outside our typical ‘box’. If it truly isn’t something we can help with, we will let you know quickly so you and your client can continue searching for other options. Rather than tell a client ‘no’ because you are unsure if it is a project type we would consider, tell them that you’ll get back to them and call your Account Executive right away.

What to Send, What to Expect

A question that I get from all new Affiliate Partners is, “How do I submit a project and how long does it take to get a response after the deal is submitted?”

A successful deal submission includes all of the information relevant to the deal that would impact which of our capital sources would consider the deal and what the terms might be. If you have a form you’re currently using to collect project data from your clients, you are welcome to continue using it. In order to make the process of submitting this information as easy as possible, we have also created a standard intake form that, once completed, would contain all of the information we would need to get started on an initial review of the project. Once you have a complete intake form, you simply send the form to your Account Executive.

In the initial review, we match your project to a capital source (or sources) from our database of some 700 lenders and investors. From there, we get the terms of the financing based on the information provided on the intake form. Through this process we generate a Letter of Interest (LOI) which is the document outlines to your client the rate, terms and conditions of the financing. Although we make our best efforts to work quickly, we will not issue an LOI until we are comfortable that we have a capital source for your clients’ project. Typically this process takes between three and seven days.

Our new Affiliate Program just keeps getting better and better. As I’ve mentioned before, this program allows commercial brokers the opportunity to be paid a referral fee for each client he or she refers that engages our services. Earning a referral fee for helping your clients gain access to over 700 capital sources is truly a win-win scenario.

Last week I introduced Remington Capital Radio. This show is phenomenal! It’s almost as good as sitting down with the CEO of Remington each week and getting training on how to sell Remington’s services as well as insights from Andy’s 35 years in the industry. If you want to talk about a specific topic, you can even call in and talk to Andy directly. We are your best access to industry experience!

There are even more resources being developed to support our Affiliate Partners including marketing materials and educational materials to support brokers who may be new to commercial finance. Be sure to visit this site regularly for the latest updates on this exciting new program.

Today, Remington works with a massive network of lenders and investors who only lend hard money. They have come to us recently looking for more new viable loan requests. If your clients are looking for a fast funding, come to Remington Capital and ask about our hard money loans. It is true, Remington Capital has the best access to commercial capital. This does not restrict us to domestic transactions. Since its inception in 1993, Remington has been working on financing requests around the world. We have really put an emphasis on our international funding sources over the past few years.

We have a dedicated capital markets group that is always seeking out new sources of capital. We now are very confident offering loan products in Asia and Australia. We have continued to maintain an origination office in Mexico, where there is a lot of new business taking place. If you have an international file that needs some assistance in getting to the finish line, please run it by an account executive at Remington Capital.

Being an Affiliate Partner of Remington

A frequently asked question when speaking with new commercial loan professionals is “why would I want to be a referral partner of Remington Capital?” There are many ways to answer this questions, but the shortest and sweetest is that Remington capital offers commissions for simply referring new transactions, on top of securing a commission at closing for you. This payment system is new, and is exclusive to working with Remington.

We know that it is harder than ever for our referrer’s to find a good home for their transactions. At Remington we guarantee the best service in the industry, allowing you to be at ease when sending your clients our way. Additionally, we have a massive network of capital sources, giving us access to funds for most all types of commercial and business transactions.

We invite you to put us to the test, send your challenging transactions our way, and let our dedicated team of executives structure your client’s transactions in a way that can get them to the finish line.
